Which schools/institutes would you recommend to apply for animation course training?

We do not recommend any schools or institutes for training. We have come across many raw talents whom we have personally trained into animation professional.

We look at your work first, typically in the form of a demo. If the demo shows mastery or great potential in the area(s) of animation, e-learning, web development, technical writing, we then look at the resume to see your background and experience.

We suggest you to concentrate on your interest in the field and build strong foundation technically or expressive traditional skills. Observation is the key to success.




How do I judge which course is best for me?

Desire and talent are as important as academic accomplishment. Understand your skills and interest along with minimum knowledge of market trend before choosing any course.




What types of Software should I know?

The following software is currently used at Anmipro:

2D Animator: Macromedia Suite, Adobe Suite, Sound Editing software's.

3D Animator: Maya*, 3D Max, Adobe Photoshop

E-Learning: Photoshop, Flash, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Dreamweaver, 3D Max, Adobe Premier, Sound Forge, XML

Web Designing: Flash, Macromedia Dreamweaver, CSS styling, HTML, Photoshop, and additional programming software's ( ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, JSP)

Painter/Compositor: Shake, Premier and Combustion




What types of drawings should I have?

Animator: Life drawings that demonstrate the ability to pose and show movement and the strong understanding of anatomy.

Modeler: Life or organic drawings that demonstrate an understanding of light and form.

Character Designing: Human anatomy. Understanding of human emotions, expressions and movements.

Layout Designing: Nature drawings, keen observation of life forms, styles, colors and perspective drawings.




What are the starting salaries?

This is a constantly changing number and salaries can vary greatly depending on the area and position. Your ability to perform and experience directly reflects on your salary.




How do I get into the field?

Everyone has "a story". However, here are some common denominators:
  • Study the market trends.
  • Don't simply follow the crowd, start with proper research.
  • Meet up people already existing in the field, know there experiences.
  • Do not end up doing every course offered by the institutes; analyze what suits your skill set best.
  • Do your own personal project and send it to companies.
  • Put forward your actual skill set, it is easy to find out if you don't have them.


What skills/traits does it take to work at Anmipro?

In general, a willingness to work hard, as well as being detail oriented and highly organized, with good communication skills and a team player attitude. Creative field requires lots of patients and zeal to learn which is what drives Anmipro.




What do we look for in an employment application?

To evaluate candidates, we require a resume and brief cover letter indicating your area(s) of interest. Most positions require a reel and a reel breakdown. Presentation of your ideas in the most basic style is well appreciated.
